Who I am

I'm Yasmin Aly, visual designer, illustrator and artist. I live and work in Karlsruhe and support companies, organisations and initiatives across Germany and internationally. With YAZ Design & Illustration I combine strategic design with artistic expression.

My path

My background is in media and visual communication. Over the years I have developed branding, social media design and digital campaigns for educational institutions, foundations and commercial clients. Alongside, my artistic practice has grown: my digital and mixed-media works have been shown at Art Shopping in the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris and in exhibitions in Berlin, London and Karlsruhe, among others.

How I work

Every project starts with listening. I want to understand what you stand for, who you want to reach and what makes your brand special. From there come clear concepts and design that works and has character at the same time. My artistic work flows into illustrations, lines and imagery that make your brand unmistakable.

What matters to me

To me, design carries responsibility. I especially enjoy projects with social relevance, such as inclusion, equality and solidarity. I work personally, reliably and on equal terms, from the first conversation to handover and beyond.
